Dr. Ashawant Gupta is the Executive Director at Advanced Microdevices Pvt. Ltd. (mdi) and has 20+ years experience in Industry, Research, and Teaching. He has been with mdi since 1997 and is responsible for Administration and Production.

Dr. Gupta received BE degree in Electrical Engineering from MSRIT, Bangalore in 1989 and MS and Ph.D. degree in 1991 and 1997, respectively, both in Microelectronics, from Santa Clara University, California, USA. He received the Ross Tucker Master’s Memorial Award in 1991 for his Master’s Thesis from the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers. He has published and presented over 20 papers in international journals and conferences.

Prior to joining mdi, Ashawant worked as a Researcher/Engineer at Hitachi Central Research Laboratory, Kokubunji, Tokyo, Japan and Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Santa Clara, California, USA.
